The Goddard School Lake Wylie

Construction of new 1-story 9,000 square foot Goddard School facility in Lake Wylie, SC.  This was a modified floor plan from the 8,600 square foot prototype to enlarge the entryway and office area, as well as slightly enlarge classroom sizes where possible. Site featured two outdoor playgrounds and wet pond water quality measures.  Interior featured multiple classrooms with technology integration and attention to detail in finishes. J.D. Goodrum worked closely with designers in a Design/Build format throughout the design process to ensure project stayed within budget.  This included pre-construction pricing at milestone design phases, as well as input on methods and techniques to keep the project within budget. JDG coordinated with the town and county approval process and inspections which included complex utility construction items, and state inspections for educational and child-care facilities.
