Ground has been broken for The Goddard School in Huntersville, a year-round program for children from six
weeks to six years old that is focused on fostering the cognitive and social development of each child through
child-appropriate lesson plans and activities, and a comprehensive play-based curriculum. The 8,200-square-foot
building will accommodate 136 children and is expected to open in early 2015. Pictured at the recent groundbreaking
ceremony are (left to right) Jamie Yoxtheimer of J.D. Goodrum Construction; owner Laura Catto with
her husband, Chris, and daughter, Abigail; Heath Wickline of BBM Architecture; Terry Jones of J.D. Goodrum
Construction; and Catto’s son, Russell, in the hardhat.
