This project was difficult, to say the least, given severe topographic site restrictions, deadline for completion, and a strict budget set by the Town. J.D. Goodrum was quick to notify the Town on site issues and developed cost effective alternatives to complete construction. J.D. Goodrum was very cognizant of our completion deadline as part of funding for the project coming from a grant that had a strict deadline. Goodrum was willing to partner with the Town to ensure that we received a quality building within our outlined budget. They found ways to cut costs without cutting quality and craftsmanship, which is hard to find in today's construction market… We also had to ensure that the operation of the existing shelter remained unimpeded during the construction as the new shelter was on the same site.
