HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A new nature park will soon open in Huntersville, according to town officials.
Construction is underway for the 11-acre Rosedale Nature Park, located off Gilead Road and behind Rosedale Shopping Center near Rosewood Meadow Lane, park officials confirmed.
“If you have drove down Rosewood Meadow Lane lately you might have noticed some construction,” Huntersville Parks & Recreation said, via Facebook. “We are excited to announce that we have started the construction of Rosedale Nature Park.”
The park will be non-athletic, and will include a playground with treehouse-style play equipment, a wheelchair accessible merry-go-round, slides built into the terrain, and zip lines, along with trails, Michael Jaycocks, director of Parks & Recreation told WBTV.
Rosedale Nature Park is set to open in October 2021, Huntersville Parks & Recreation said.
